We are pleased to announce the appointment of our new Patient Participation Group (PPG) Chair, David Foat.
“I was pleased to take over as Chair of the Richmond Hill Practice Patient Participation Group (PPG) when our longstanding Chair, Jerry Stanford, decided to stand down. Jerry has remained a welcome member of the PPG”.

What is a Practice Participation Group?
Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of volunteer patients who work together to improve services and promote wellbeing in the local community. The PPG provides a patient voice, offering feedback and helping shape how the practice develops its services.
The group does not deal with individual medical complaints or personal clinical issues. These should be raised directly with the practice through our complaints procedure.
The Patient Participation Group at Richmond Hill Practice aim to meet 4 times a year.
What does the PPG Do?
Working with Richmond Hill helping to ensure that patients and carers can influence their local healthcare services
• Being a critical friend to Richmond Hill
• Advising Richmond Hill on patient perspective and providing an insight into the responsiveness and quality of services
• Encouraging patients to take greater responsibility for their own and their family’s health
• Carrying out research into the views of those who use Richmond Hill
• Organising health promotion events and improving health literacy
• Regular communication with the patient population
Why the PPG Is Important
PPGs help ensure that:
• The practice hears directly from patients
• Services are developed with patient needs in mind
• Communication with patients is clear, effective, and accessible
• Different patient groups are represented, including young people, carers, and those with long-term conditions
We aim for our PPG to reflect the diversity of our patient population.
